1-2 tablespoons peanut butter (optional for extra flavor and healthy fats)
A handful of Halloween candy (chop up mini-sized bars or pieces, like Snickers, Reese's, or M&Ms)
1 tablespoon dark chocolate chips (optional for drizzling)
Pinch of sea salt (to balance sweetness)
Directions:
Mix the base: In a bowl, mix the Greek yogurt with the protein powder until smooth. You can also stir in peanut butter if you like that flavor combo.
Spread the mixture: On a parchment-lined baking sheet, spread the yogurt mixture into an even layer about ½ inch thick.
Add candy: Sprinkle your chopped-up Halloween candy evenly over the yogurt mixture.
Drizzle chocolate: If using, melt the dark chocolate chips and drizzle over the top.
Freeze: Place the baking sheet in the freezer and freeze for about 1-2 hours, or until the bark is firm.
Break and serve: Once frozen, break the bark into pieces and enjoy!
Tips:
Protein Boost: You can add more protein by sprinkling on some chopped nuts or seeds.
Candy Control: Use the candy as a topping rather than mixing it in, so you can control how much goes into each piece.
This recipe keeps the treat portion small while giving you a satisfying, high-protein snack. Would this fit into your plan for mindful Halloween treats?
